Senior & Reactive Pets

Standard pricing. Extra time and breaks are not an upcharge. They are how I work.
How it goes
- Tell me everything when you book. Age, arthritis, vision or hearing loss, what happened at the last place, what they hate being touched.
- Start smaller if we need to. A free Meet & Greet or a nail trim first, so their first visit is not a three hour one.
- Grandma pace. Seniors get to sit down. Reactive pets get to stop when the body language says stop, before it escalates.
- Breaks on their schedule. Not mine.
- Finish another day if we need to. A partial groom done calmly beats a full groom done through a panic.
Fewer pets a day is the product, not a limitation of it. That is the whole reason this works.

Does it cost more?
No. Extra time and breaks are included. Tell me what your pet needs so I book the right length of appointment.
My old dog cannot stand for long. Can he still be groomed?
Yes. He can lie down, sit, and take as long as he needs. For very frail or very painful dogs I will tell you honestly if a shorter tidy-up is kinder than a full groom. More on senior grooming.
My dog has bitten a groomer before.
Tell me. It does not automatically disqualify anyone, but I need to know so I can plan the visit properly and keep us both safe. Start with a Meet & Greet.
Do you sedate?
No. Sedation is a vet decision, not a groomer one. If your pet genuinely cannot be groomed without it, I will tell you and you can talk to your vet.
Grooming hours are Tuesday to Saturday, 9am to 5pm, inside Camp Bow Wow Monument in Monument. Those are not the same as Camp Bow Wow's front desk hours, so please come during grooming hours. Serving Monument, Palmer Lake, Woodmoor and Gleneagle.
